so what have i done during my holidays?
when my holidays start i start practice bowing, the first day i bow 50 times and the following days i keep on increase the numbers of bowing. the highest achievement is 432 a day. and now nearly the end of my holidays the total achievement is between 4000 to 5000 times is nearly half of 10000. is really over my own expectation, at first i think i could just achieve 3000. this is the fist time i show so much enthusiasm for an activity.
i think i will keep on bowing even the term start, maybe at least 108 times a day. and i will also keep on reading novel, review the lesson daily, hmm i think that will do for mine fifth term.
besides, i had read Harry Potter series except for this two: the philosopher's stone and the goblet of fire. for me is quite a achievement, nearly hundreds of sentences swimming in my brain every days.
and last Monday we free captive fish and birds to where they belongs, is quite a happy experiences and memory especially when u saw them set free into the nature. try to imagine yourself in there shoe, will you feel happy and appreciate to those who help you gain back the freedom which you have lost for ages or save your life from the people mouth?
p.s.
Why do Buddhists bow?
In Buddhism, the traditional gesture of reverence to the Triple Gem is to place the palms of both hands together and raise them high in front, usually up to the level of the forehead. In order to express deep veneration, a Buddhist may bow or prostrate before the image of the Buddha, members of the Sangha and the masters of the Teaching. When a Buddhist prostrates before an image, he acknowledges the fact that the Buddha has attained the perfect and supreme Enlightenment. Such an act helps the Buddhist to overcome egoistic feelings and he becomes more ready to listen to the Teaching of the Buddha.
